Why two stages instead of text to video
A model that must invent the person, the place and the motion from one sentence gets adult scenes wrong first - limbs multiply, faces change between frames, the room shifts. Fixing the person and the place in a still first leaves the video model one job. It also makes the expensive step the last one: a still costs 50 to 200 coins and returns in seconds, a clip costs ten times that and takes minutes, so you spend the cheap iterations on the frame and the dear one on motion that already has a good frame under it.
Prompting habits that pay
- Photographic words. Side-lit, waist-up, shallow depth of field beat best quality, perfect, 8k on the same subject every time.
- Override three defaults. Left alone the image engine airbrushes skin, lights flat from the front, and backs off to a mid shot - name texture, light direction and crop.
- Change one word. A still returns in seconds, so test wording instead of guessing; past roughly forty words the later clauses stop mattering.
- Motion in phrases. Three short clauses of movement render cleaner than a paragraph, and one motion style usually beats a stack.
